Analytics with your consent

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, pages viewed, traffic from other websites and outbound clicks to Booking.com, GetYourGuide and Viator. Google receives information including your browser, device, page views, referring website and actions on the site. Your IP address forms part of the connection to Google. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information in our analytics events. Click events may include the provider, destination page, campaign name and button text. A click is not evidence of a booking. Known campaign parameters from social posts are used to understand where visits come from; other URL parameters and fragments are excluded from our own events.

The Google tag loads only after you consent. If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics or send analytics data to Google. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled in the website configuration.

Your choice

You can accept or decline analytics and change your choice through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Your choice is stored locally in your browser for six months. It is used only to remember your settings. If you withdraw consent, we stop measuring and attempt to remove Analytics cookies that the website can access. Withdrawal does not affect information already processed.

Your own test visits

In Cookie settings, you can choose to exclude your own test visits on this device. This choice is stored locally, and our Google tag does not load while it is enabled. It applies to this browser and device until you disable it or clear your browser data.

Analytics cookies

If you consent, Google may set _ga and _ga_*, which are used to distinguish visits and associate actions with a visit. The website's Google tag is configured for a lifetime of up to 180 days without ongoing renewal. If you delete cookies or browser data, you may be asked to choose again.

Google and data retention

Google processes analytics information for us. Information may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA, under Google's applicable data transfer arrangements. Retention of event and user data also depends on our Analytics account settings; the cookie lifetime stated above is not the same as Google's data retention period.

You can contact us about access, deletion or other rights under data protection rules. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Newsletter

When you subscribe, Asili Journeys uses your email address to send new travel guides, destinations, experiences and travel offers. The newsletter may contain advertising links. Processing and distribution are based on your consent. You must confirm your email address before being added to the mailing list.

We store your email address, consent and confirmation time in Supabase. Resend delivers emails and may process delivery information and technical data. These providers may use subprocessors outside the EU/EEA. The information is not used for the website's Google Analytics. The subscription and confirmation pages do not load our analytics or marketing scripts.

Your subscription is stored until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, your email address and subscription are deleted from our mailing list. An unconfirmed subscription expires after 48 hours and is removed from the list during subsequent sign-ups. Resend may retain delivery logs and the email already sent under its retention terms. We use temporary, hash-based limits to protect the subscription process against abuse.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact asilijourneyss@gmail.comif you would like to access, correct or delete information. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Advertising links and our partnerships

Links marked “Ad” or “Advertising link” may earn Asili Journeys a commission when a qualifying booking is completed. GetYourGuide links contain our partner ID. Travelpayouts Drive may also convert booking links and insert travel offers when marketing is accepted. Booking, payment and changes are handled by the relevant provider.

Travelpayouts Drive and marketing

Drive loads only if you accept marketing in our cookie settings. It may personalise offers, change booking links and measure the use of content and links. Its features may also open a travel offer in a new tab. When it loads, Travelpayouts receives technical connection information, including IP address and browser, and may process information about page visits and interactions and use cookies or similar technology.

You choose marketing independently of Google Analytics. Previous consent to analytics does not activate Drive. If you decline marketing, we do not load Drive. Your marketing choice is stored in your browser for up to six months. When consent is withdrawn, the page reloads without Drive so the script does not continue running on the page. Previously processed information and third-party cookies are not automatically deleted; these can be managed through your browser or the provider.

Viator banners

On the Ubud guide, we load an external Viator banner when you accept marketing. Loading it establishes a connection to Viator's services, which receive technical information including your IP address and browser details. The banner may use cookies or similar technology for affiliate tracking. If you decline marketing, the banner script does not load; you can still follow a standard link to the experience. You can change your choice through Cookie settings. When consent is withdrawn, the page reloads without the banner script.

Website operation and external links

The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. The website has no contact form, and your month selection is not stored. If you email us, we use your information to answer your enquiry.

When you follow an external link, the provider's privacy policy applies. GetYourGuide and Viator links are advertising links containing our partner ID. After a click, Viator may use affiliate tracking to attribute a booking to Asili Journeys under its own terms and privacy settings. When you click through, GetYourGuide may use affiliate tracking to attribute a booking to Asili Journeys under its own terms and privacy settings. GetYourGuide may use its own tracking after a click. Travelpayouts Drive loads separately when marketing is accepted. Our Booking.com links contain CJ Affiliate tracking and are advertising links, including when you decline marketing. After a click, Booking.com and CJ may use their own tracking mechanisms. Travelpayouts Drive may adapt additional links when marketing is accepted. Our own click measurement takes place only if you have accepted analytics.
