FIND YOUR BASE
Where should you stay?
Choose a base that makes it easy to combine the old town, the sea and excursions. A small city hotel suits active days, while a stay with sea views offers more opportunity to enjoy the hotel itself. Check transport for any trips along the Riviera.

Three ideas for your days
01
The old town with a local guide
Walk through the old streets of Vieux Nice with a local guide, then head towards Castle Hill for views of the city and sea. Along the way, hear stories about the neighbourhood's history and discover places to explore further on your own.
Explore Nice on a guided e-bike tour along the Promenade des Anglais and up to viewpoints around Castle Hill and Mont Boron. Bike and helmet are included, and the tour begins with a brief introduction to the bike.
Sail from Nice's harbour along the Riviera coast to the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer. See coastal towns, villas and Cap de Nice from the boat before returning to Nice. This is a sightseeing cruise with no stops ashore.
April–June and September–October suit city walks. Summer brings life to the Riviera, along with heat and more visitors. Paris is a year-round destination; Nice does not guarantee swimming weather in winter.
