Where should you stay?
A city stay suits architecture and neighbourhood life, while a base near the beach offers a different rhythm. Choose a small property if you plan to spend your days out, or a hotel with more facilities for quiet afternoons. Compare connections to Gaudí's landmarks and the historic centre.

Three ideas for your days
01
Sagrada Família and Park Güell
Experience two of Gaudí's celebrated works on a guided tour. Park Güell's shapes and mosaics are paired with the light and architecture of the Sagrada Família, with transport between the two included.
Walk through Barcelona's historic neighbourhoods with a guide. The tour connects streets, squares and buildings with stories of the city's past, introducing you to Barri Gòtic and El Born.
Take a break from the city streets on a small-group sailing trip. See Barcelona's coastline and skyline from the water, with snacks and drinks included.
April–June and September–October are good starting points for cities and excursions. July and August also suit beach holidays, but can be very hot and busy. This advice focuses on Barcelona and Mallorca.
