Here, access to the sea should matter as much as the hotel pool. Find a base that suits your pace and make the Red Sea more than a view from your lounger.

Compare Naama Bay, Sharks Bay, Hadaba and Nabq by their water access. The hotel reef, jetty and location shape your holiday.

Balance your days by the sea with an unhurried visit into town.
Spring and autumn are our starting points for combining beach time with outings. Midsummer plans need room for heat and breaks; in winter, ask about wind exposure and heated pools. Investigate the particular bay rather than relying only on a forecast labelled Sharm.
The Egypt guide’s climate table covers Cairo and Hurghada. It helps explain the seasons but is not an exact temperature series for Sharm el-Sheikh. Check a local forecast close to departure and keep a boat day movable within your stay.
Investigate Naama Bay if nearby restaurants and promenade life are priorities. Sharks Bay is useful for comparing resorts with reefs and sea views. In Hadaba and around Ras Um Sid, pay particular attention to steps, slopes and water access.
Nabq is relevant for larger resort stays, but check jetty length and the hotel’s information about wind and swimming. A beautiful reef is not necessarily a shallow sandy beach suitable for paddling. Ask the hotel to describe both shore entry and any pontoon access.
For a more luxurious stay, we would prioritise room location, quiet areas, included meals and beach conditions over the number of restaurants. A simpler property can make sense if you have also budgeted for paid beach access and transport. These are selection criteria, not claims of personal hotel experiences.
Ras Mohammed is a major snorkelling and diving destination from Sharm. Choose between a boat day and a land-based outing according to how long you want to spend on the water. A White Island stop depends on conditions and should not be your only reason to book.
On the linked boat trip, check the options for transfers, equipment and marina fees. Compare the final total after selecting extras rather than only the headline price. Diving level, any health requirements and insurance need separate agreement with the operator. Snorkelling is not certified diving.
Allow another day for a quieter beach stay or Old Market. A week does not need an excursion every day: two planned activities and several open days make it easier to adjust to wind, energy and what you actually enjoy.
Our example for two adults sharing a room allocates DKK 350 per person per night to accommodation, DKK 175 per day to meals and DKK 125 to local transport and incidentals. That is DKK 650 per person per day: DKK 4,550 for seven nights and seven daily allowances, or DKK 9,100 for two. Flights, visas, insurance, airport transfers and major activities are excluded.
These are budget assumptions, not current hotel prices. For all-inclusive accommodation, replace the hotel and meal lines with the actual quote. Compare the same room type, cancellation terms and meal plan: two offers at the same property can differ considerably. Add extra days and solo-room costs as needed.
Sharm is on the Sinai Peninsula, where travel advice differs by area. Staying on the coast is not a recommendation for every inland Sinai excursion. Denmark’s travel advice recommends using main roads in daylight between South Sinai tourist areas; check the actual route before an outing.
Arrange airport transport to the hotel’s full name and save contact details offline. Ask your operator which documents to bring. Entry permission must cover your whole itinerary, especially if you continue to Cairo; consult official rules rather than assuming a local entry arrangement covers every destination.
